Private enterprise and the local government join forces to improve the state of the island's waterways by installing trash barriers on Bali's rivers.

More than 13,000 people are expected to participate across Bali in World Cleanup Day on September 15.

Plans are underway to turn trash into electricity at the Suwung garbage site on Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai in Denpasar, and investors are lining up to get in on the action.
