The Wyndham Garden brand’s first hotel in South East Asia opens on Bali’s Kuta Beach.
Wyndham Hotel Group is expanding its portfolio of offerings in Bali, with the launch of its upper-midscale brand, Wyndham Garden®.
The 155-room Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali, previously known as The Kuta Playa Hotel & Villas, is the first Wyndham Garden hotel to open in South East Asia after rebranding under a management agreement between PT Wyndham Hotel Management and PT Global Bali Investama.
The Wyndham Garden brand focuses on the details so guests can travel easier and be more carefree. Each Wyndham Garden property has a unique and inviting atmosphere that gives guests a sense of calm and serenity from the moment they arrive. Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali is Wyndham Hotel Group’s sixth property on the Indonesian island and the third to open in just four months, following the addition of Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali in November 2016 and Wyndham Surabaya last month. The hotel giant’s Ramada® and Wyndham® brand flags currently fly in the areas of Bintang, Sunset Road, Seminyak and Lepang Beach.
The introduction of Wyndham Garden to Bali comes on the heels of the brand’s expansion elsewhere in the Asia-Pacific region, having celebrated two openings last year in Guam and Suzhou, China.
Located directly across from Kuta Beach on Jalan Pantai Kuta, Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach offers newly-refurbished guestrooms with stylish and airy living spaces, including spacious executive rooms and suites with pool access and ocean views. The resort features two pools – a family pool for children and rooftop pool overlooking the ocean. Additional inclusions cover an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, a day spa, as well as meeting rooms for seminars and events.
This year, the resort will undergo a further renovation and expansion adding 151 rooms, of which several are swim-up pool units. A new dining establishment will be created and the hotel’s public areas will be revamped with modern elements. Once complete at the end of 2017, the destination’s vibrant offerings will revolutionise the Kuta precinct.
Barry Robinson, President and Managing Director of Wyndham Hotel Group, South East Asia and Pacific Rim, told SCHWARTZWILLIAMS, “We are committed to growing our expansive footprint of diverse brands in highly sought-after locations such as Bali, a world-acclaimed resort destination where travellers come to escape and feel at ease. Travellers’ tremendous interest in the island shows no sign of waning and we expect these visitor numbers to continue rising in tandem with the government’s plan to improve airport infrastructure and increase flight routes.”
Mr Robinson continued, “True to its brand promise, our first Wyndham Garden property provides an inviting atmosphere, a fresh take on service, and meaningful facilities to make our guests’ travels as stress-free as possible. With its excellent position right across from the popular Kuta Beach, Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali is the ideal launch pad for guests to explore the island.”
Mr Sonny Inayatkhan, company director of PT Global Bali Investama, said, “Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali will strongly benefit from the stewardship of a global leader in hospitality like Wyndham Hotel Group. We look forward to tapping into the capabilities of the world’s largest hotel company, including its robust distribution system, and opening the hotel to the vast network of travellers.”
