Moyo Island in the West Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia has been given a tourism boost with the reopening of the Amanwana Resort.

Accessible via a short flight from Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport, the five-star venue had temporarily closed its doors due to the pandemic.

The island's lone resort has now begun welcoming guests again, offering camping itineraries of three or five nights in the island’s wilderness, surrounded by the waters of the Flores Sea.

Activities include a guided trip through the jungle and natural caves to discover Barry’s Fall, a cascading limestone waterfall deep within the tropical forest, while guests can also enjoy water adventures, such as snorkelling and diving.

Amanwana incorporates tents for guests, a dedicated spa tent, restaurants and a Sumbawa-style feast.

Founded in 1988, luxury hotel brand Aman has gradually been reopening its properties across the globe since May.
