Bali Dwipa Tourism Industry is set host travel agents from around Indonesia in a bid to boost domestic tourism.
A gathering carrying the theme of 'We love Bali' will be held for Indonesian travel agents this weekend in a bid to boost domestic tourism.
Bali Ekbis reports Bali Dwipa Tourism Industry has invited 150 travel agent owners from all over the country to come to Bali as part of the event, which will take place from September 4-6.
It comes after Governor Wayan Koster postponed opening up Bali to international tourists, due to the rising level of coronavirus cases reported in the Southeast Asian country.
Speaking a press conference, BDTI Chairman Rahmawan said the upcoming gathering was expected to have a "tremendous" impact on the island's tourism industry going forward by building the belief that Bali is a safe and comfortable place to visit.
"The gathering with the theme 'We Love Bali' which will take place 2020 aims to revive tourism in Bali which had been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic," he said.
A range of health protocols will be applied to the event, with physical interactions minimized by means of a QR code at each spot, and distancing required during transportation.
Each participant will also be provided with a face shield mask and hand sanitizer when arriving at Ngurah Rai Airport
The opening location of the event will be Pandawa Beach.
