Indonesian travel company Traveloka has teamed up with local travel tech firm PT Atourin Teknologi Nusantara to offer virtual tours on its website.
Virtual tours of Bali are now available via Zoom through travel company Traveloka.
Developed in collaboration with tech firm PT Atourin Teknologi Nusantara, Xperience tours and activities consists of 15 virtual tours lasting 60 to 90 minutes and priced from IDR50,000 ($3.40).
Viewers can interact with the tour guides presenting the tour and plan future post-pandemic trips.
One of the first tours available was ‘Negara: Uniqueness of West Bali', which showcased a relatively unknown part of Northwest Bali, noted for its water buffalo racing.
Traveloka Xperience’s Head of Marketing Terry Santoso said the company planned to connect the virtual tours with artificial intelligence and big data marketing.
"Those who participate in the tours will receive recommendations from our app about where they can stay, how to reach the destinations, as well as the nearest restaurants,” he said.
Atourin also organises virtual tour training for tour guides across Indonesia.
