Bali was officially reopened for domestic tourism in a ceremony held at Nusa Dua last week.
The start of August has signalled the next stage of Bali's reopening policy, with domestic tourists now welcome to visit the island.
A ceremony at Nusa Dua last week officially brought an end to the five-month restriction period introduced to halt the spread of COVID-19.
The Jakarta Post reports that Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister Luhut Pandjaitan, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Wishnutama and Bali Governor Wayan Koster were joined by scores of dignitaries at event.
According to the Post, Luhun used his speech to emphasise that the decision to reopen the island "was not made hastily".

"(This decision) was made after taking into consideration the number of people who have been discharged and recovered, the mortality rate as well as the fact that the island, with regard to the pandemic, now comprises green and yellow zones, no red zones," he said.
The second phase of the reopening policy announced by the governor comes after the island's tourist attractions and facilities were made available to residents on July 9.
The third phase of the plan, in which the island will be reopened for international tourists, will begin on September 11.
