The annual Dezeen Awards identifies the world's best architecture, interiors and design, and the studios and individuals who produce the most outstanding work. This year, two of the finalists are from Indonesia.
Dezeen was founded at the end of 2006 and has developed to become one of the world's most popular and influential architecture and design magazines, and the winner of numerous awards for journalism and publishing according to What Design Can Do.

Being selected as a finalist in their annual awards therefore is no mean feat, and this year Indonesia proudly has two; RAW Architecture for the Alga Omega School in Tangerang in West Java and IBUKU Studio for the Riverbend House at Bambu Indah in Ubud.
The awards cover 36-categories. Riverbend House in Ubud is included in the Hospitality Building category and will compete with 23-other buildings say Kompas.

According to the IBUKU Studio website the company believes in a hopeful, inspirational world where innovating with natural materials connects people with nature.
The appropriately named Riverbend House does this by following the shape of Bali's Ayung River and uses almost all bamboo to do so. The property offers 220-degree views and has 2-bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen with spectacular views of the Ayung River.
